Last year, Local 669 Members participated in a BC Film Industry Fatigue Survey. The results are in and the reports (industry-wide and Local 669 specific) have been posted to the Members section of the website*.

New film tax credit rates give industry certainty and protect taxpayers

It was announced, yesterday, that starting in October, 2016, the basic production services tax credit rate will be 28%, which is 5 points lower than the current rate. The digital animation or visual effects (DAVE) tax credit rate will be reduced 1.5 points to 16%.

TV series that begin shooting before October 1st will be grandfathered under the current rate for one season.
