On June 29, I will wrap over nine rewarding years with ICG 669. I am pleased to hand over the responsibilities of our professional development / technical training and safety rep position to Michelle Yardley. Michelle will be transitioning with me during the month of June, so feel free to contact either of us during that time.
Michelle has been a member of ICG 669 for over 20 years and has been working closely with us in developing and team-teaching various technical training sessions as well as managing the re-launch of our mentorship program.
Our popular Membership Orientation and Camera Prep to Post workshops were designed by Michelle, giving her the opportunity to share her expertise and exceptional standards as a camera assistant and long time union member, while conveying her passion for bringing your "A" game to set every day.
With her years of set experience, Michelle can also speak with firsthand knowledge to the immense importance of safety in the workplace. Michelle has been trained as a union Shop Steward and is continuing her education with the BC Fed Health and Safety Centre as well as the Justice Institute of British Columbia specializing in Conflict Resolution.
With her unique mix of technical know-how, her thorough understanding of our membership's day-to-day work practices and her personal integrity, Michelle will continue to provide and expand top quality training for ICG 669 Members.
You will truly be in excellent hands. Welcome Michelle!
With heartfelt thanks to all of you & best wishes,
